Revelation of an Introvert
'Why are you so quiet?'
Forget about lizards and cockroaches, let's talk about how much we introverts fear this question. Even though it is the last thing we wanted to hear I'm sure we have already heard it more than the number of days we have lived. We don't get it why people keep asking the same thing when they should have already known the answer by now- a smile and again a silence.
"You seem dull. What is wrong?"
People, we really appreciate your concern but trust me nothing is wrong with us. I know staring at the wall for a longer time than usual scares you a bit but we are probably trying to connect with the one thing that fascinates silence like we do or we are just observing and processing our thoughts. That's the one thing we do best.
"You should socialize more."
Stop throwing that pity looks like its a confetti because we are good with our pet, books and a specific group of humans we rely on. (Point to be noted: A group of humans includes 1 or 2 persons).
"Don't you want to get out of your solitude and spend some time outside?" Definitely NO when I have stacks of books to read and haven't had time to be alone for a while. Definitely YES if it's going to be me and my book (maybe sometimes my extroverted best friend)
"Aren't you bored of spending time alone?" After all the judgment you have made, I think it is morally right to ask you one question. Why are you so interested in us?
"You are complicated" well, we don't give a crap. What did you think that smile we give really meant?
